The Gateway Construction Updates
- Staircase and stair structure installation complete in Greengate Building
- Windows installation progressing well in Irwell Building
- The level one link structure between both buildings is now complete
Spanning four residential towers in the UK’s largest regeneration zone, The Gateway is an exciting new-build development offering a five-star living experience. Accompanying a range of high-end apartments are unrivalled onsite amenities such as a serene wellness spa, private dining area and fully fitted podcasting studio.
Key operational infrastructure is now in place. The onsite substation is fully complete, with temporary power now live to support efficient, coordinated activity across the site. Mast climbers are secured to every block, enabling safe, continuous vertical progress, while blockwork continues at the ground floor, mezzanine, and basement levels.
Installation of the Steel Frame System is advancing well on all blocks, with several levels now finished and boarded. Rainwater pipe systems are being installed across multiple areas, and roofing to the townhouse units has been completed.
Overall, the fourth quarter has delivered highly positive momentum, with significant achievements visible in every part of the development. The Gateway is firmly establishing itself as one of Liverpool’s most exciting regeneration schemes.
Block A (Queens) – Structural works have reached Level 12, with Level 11 now complete and formwork installation underway for Level 13. External drainage is progressing, alongside SFS installation at Level 1 and ongoing blockwork at ground and mezzanine levels.
Block B (Williamsburg) – Level 6 has been completed, with decking now being installed for Level 7. Structural progress continues in line with programme expectations.
Block C (Brooklyn) – Level 5 is now structurally complete with decking works progressing for Level 6. External drainage works are also nearing completion.
Block D (TriBeca) – Structural works have reached Level 10, following the completion of Level 9 and installation of decking to Level 10 now underway.
Podium Works – Structural podium sections linking all blocks (A–B, B–C, and C–D) are now fully complete. Roofing works to the podiums are currently in progress, marking continued development of the integrated ground-level space.
Site Infrastructure – The substation is now fully complete, with all cables and transformers successfully installed. Mast climber installation is ongoing at Blocks A and D, and the car park ramp from basement to ground is structurally in place. Shuttering is underway for the next phase connecting ground to mezzanine level.
Additional Works – Precast stair installations continue across all cores, with wind post and blockwork installation ongoing at ground and mezzanine levels. SFS and boarding works are progressing, particularly at Block A, and roof works have commenced on the podiums and townhouses.
Block A (Queens) – Construction will advance through Levels 12 and 13, alongside ongoing blockwork, wind posts, and façade preparation works including SFS and boarding.
Block B (Williamsburg) – Works will progress through Level 7 and 8, with continued development of vertical elements and internal core activities.
Block C (Brooklyn) – The structure will continue to rise through Levels 6 and 7, with reinforcement, decking and services coordination ongoing.
Block D (TriBeca) – Installation of Levels 10 and 11 is scheduled in the upcoming period, along with continued blockwork and mast climber installation to support envelope works.
Additional Works – The following activities will also continue across the site:
